Hueman RPO Centralizes Recruitment for Retail Partner

Our Partner: A national retail chain that delivers print, marketing, and shipping services


The Challenge

Our partner, like many national organizations, was leveraging a hybrid recruitment model where store managers juggled recruitment alongside their daily operations, impacting the prioritization of customer interactions and decreasing the time allotted for training team members. Before February 2023, store managers and their teams handled 65% of all recruitment responsibilities. To centralize recruitment efforts, giving store managers time to focus more on day-to-day business activities, as well as to provide flexibility to meet increased hiring needs, our partner entered into a partnership with Hueman RPO.

Our Solution

Hueman was initially engaged to help centralize the recruitment function, aligning with a broader strategy to increase efficiency and better meet the business's hiring needs more effectively. In close collaboration with our partner, Hueman successfully transitioned recruiting responsibilities from the local stores to Talent Acquisition. Our team was successful in owning 100% of the requisitions after just five months of partnership — well ahead of the initial schedule.

Leveraging a team of 6 recruiters and a recruiting coordinator, Hueman seamlessly integrated into our partner’s ATS and has become well-versed in the distinguished wage scales of their four retail location types in addition to helping to streamline best practices.

Our Results

Through establishing a formal process and candidate experience workflow focused on nurturing talent, our partner has achieved a 12% decrease in candidate drop-off rate from offer to start.

In only eight months, we have met 80% of our partner's established hiring goal of 1,535 employees, having achieved this halfway through our initial contract term.
